Provision for our students

Key Stage 3

Year 9

Students are supported in their transition from primary school into secondary school through a series of assemblies and a tutor time programme which looks at developing the following skills:

  • Organisation, Resilience, Initiative, Leadership, Study Skills and Communication

Year 9

During tutor time and assemblies students focus on:

  • Kindness, Respect, Without Harm, Study Skills, Oracy

In the spring term, students are given guidance on their GCSE options through a series of assemblies delivered by Subject Leaders as well as a Careers Fair and information evening for parents.

Key Stage 4

Year 9

During tutor time students delve into the world of work. They investigate work and career options, the labour market, employers and post-16 options

Year 10

  • STEM workshop day at CEME
  • Havering 6th Form Aim Higher
  • Essex Chemistry at Work Careers Event
  • BT Boot Camp
  • Assembly on apprenticeships during National Apprenticeship Week
  • Work related learning

Year 11

  • Programme of 1:1 impartial interviews with a career guidance professional from Prospects.
  • Attendance at RPA (Raising Participation Event)
  • Post-16 Transition Evening for parents and students
