Year 9
Students are supported in their transition from primary school into secondary school through a series of assemblies and a tutor time programme which looks at developing the following skills:
- Organisation, Resilience, Initiative, Leadership, Study Skills and Communication
Year 9
During tutor time and assemblies students focus on:
- Kindness, Respect, Without Harm, Study Skills, Oracy
In the spring term, students are given guidance on their GCSE options through a series of assemblies delivered by Subject Leaders as well as a Careers Fair and information evening for parents.

During tutor time students delve into the world of work. They investigate work and career options, the labour market, employers and post-16 options
Year 10
- STEM workshop day at CEME
- Havering 6th Form Aim Higher
- Essex Chemistry at Work Careers Event
- BT Boot Camp
- Assembly on apprenticeships during National Apprenticeship Week
- Work related learning
Year 11
- Programme of 1:1 impartial interviews with a career guidance professional from Prospects.
- Attendance at RPA (Raising Participation Event)
- Post-16 Transition Evening for parents and students
- Assembly on apprenticeships during National Apprenticeship
