GCSE certificates will be available to sign and collect on Saturday 6th December from 10am-11am in the school main hall
We currently offer music tuition in Guitar and Piano via visiting Havering Music School teachers. These lessons take place in school during the day and are on a rotating timetable. Please visit the following link for more information on the packages on offer and how to apply. https://www.haveringmusicschool.org.uk/packages/
We also currently offer music tuition in Singing, Drum Kit and Bass Guitar via visiting private teachers. Please see below details of how private lesson provision works.
Lessons are individual and you can choose for your son to have either 20 minute or 30 minute lessons.
Lessons take place during the school day on a rotating timetable. The time slot varies each week so that there is minimal disruption to students’ other lessons. Students will receive 10 lessons per term (30 per year). It is the student’s responsibility to attend their lessons at the times indicated on the noticeboard outside the music room.
20 minute Individual lesson = £12 Half Termly payment of £60 for 5 lessons
30 minute Individual lesson = £18 Half Termly payment of £90 for lessons
External exam entry (optional) fees will need to be paid in full by parents / carers.
All payments should be made via Parentpay and will be requested at the start of each half term.
If an instrumental lesson is missed due to teacher illness, the lesson will be made up at a later point in the term. If, however, your child misses a lesson due to sickness or a school trip it will not be possible to make this lesson up.
It is possible to borrow some instruments from the school. Students should speak to their instrumental teacher to find out if this is possible. If there is an instrument available to borrow, students will be given a letter for their parents/carers to sign agreeing to cover any costs incurred by damage or loss of the instrument. Where there are no instruments available to borrow we will direct you to recommended suppliers.
We ask you to inform us in writing either by letter or email if you would like your child to stop having lessons. We ask for at least 4 weeks notice.
